120713 Sydney Tower, Lane Cove National Park and “Golden Times Chinese Restaurant” in Sydney

Partners: My son’s family (5), John and Mary (Louise’s parents) and Kikko and I and 3 Japanese friends

My wife and her 3 friends went to Sydney downtown for sightseeings with Louise and 3 grandkids.

They went Market City and Sydney Tower, while I walked to Lane Cove National Park.

Lane Cove National Park is a small national park located within metropolitan Sydney, Australia. The park is located about ten kilometres (6 mi) north-west of the Sydney CBD. The park consists of land near the banks of the Lane Cove River, which rises near Hornsby and flows generally south-east into Port Jackson.

I is only 2 km from my son’s home in Chatswood. It is a simple way to access the park from my son’s home.

My son took me there last year, so I thought it was easy to visit there again. But I had a wrong memory, and I lost my way in the park.

My son gave me his smart-phone with map functions. Thanks to its function, I found my location in the map, so I could return to his home all right.

In the evening, my son invited his wife’s parents; John and Mary and the Japanese visitors including my wife and I to a gorgeous Chinese restaurant named “Golden Times” in Sydney.

We all had to show our identifications (passports) and they took our pictures while filling in the forms for entrance at the 1st floor of the building.

There was a casino on the 2nd flower of the building and I guess that was the reasons why they took caustions of our identifications with pictures.

The restaurant was on the 3rd floor and the reserved room was spacious and the Chinese foods were delicious.

It was our 5th night in Australia for this trip.
