150114 The 1st day of my first visit on Korea in 2015, From Ofuna to Seoul, Supper and Meeting with my friends（2015年最初の訪韓、第1日目：大船からソウルへ及び友人たちとの会食）

Date: January 14 (Wed), 2015 Fine

Itinerary: Incheon – Seoul - Yongsan-gu (Seoul)

I waked my wife up and asked her to drive me to Ofuna Station. I took 8:09 Tokaido train and took the 9 o’clock limousine bus.

It was a fine day, and I sipped a cup of coffee on the bus. I was dozing when the bus arrived at the airport, but I forgot the thermos on the bus. I rushed to the counter of Keisei Bus Company, then the clerk called the bus driver and he came back to the place I got off the bus and gave the thermos back to me. How kind they were!

It took some time, and I was glad that I came early. I was in hurry and came to the gate at 11:30. My seat was in the middle of the cabin and aisle seat, not the window seat.

Since the carrier was Asiana Airlines, the in-flight-meal was Korean style (and beer was OB, the Korean brand.)

The plane landed at 3 pm. I went straight to the passport control, then went to the rest room. Therefore picking up the luggage was smooth, and headed for the platform of Incheon Airport Station of Airport Railway.

There are a nice skate-link on the way to the platform which reminded me of the skate-link I saw when I visited Harvard University in Boston several years ago.

I took 3:30 subway and arrived at Seoul Station at 4:30 pm. I arrived at Lotteria at 4:40, but Seounghye was not there yet. I tried to call her, but my cellphone had been disconnected because of the release date misunderstanding. I was glad that I could call the phone agent (Summson) by calling “114”.

I could talk with Seunghye over the phone and we took a taxi to her home in Yongsan-gu.

It located in the middle of Namsan. It used to be called “Freedom Village.” It might be “Freedom from Japanese colonial rule” or “Freedom from communists’ rule” during the Korean War.

Anyway, Seunghye’s apartment is close to the Catholic church building. Their only daughter, Tae-hee was waiting for us. Tae-hee is a 6th grader.

My old friend Seunghye showed her album and I found my old pictures a lot in her album.

I brought a present from my wife to her, a decorative purse of Hakone zaiku, and some small gift I bought in Kamakura. I also gave a cat doll to Tae-hee, too.

Mijoung, another old friend of mine came to see me after 7 pm. She works in Seoul, so she must have come after work. Mijoung gave me some cosmetic items for me.

Seunghye ordered some Chinese dishes. A delivery man brought the food and we all shared the food.

Then called Hanryong, who was in his 20s when I saw him for the first time about 20 years ago. Now Hanryong married a Chinese lady when he was working in China. They have two boys now.

I was to see them next day, oh, it was a good old day memories we share.

妻は熟睡。7:50に起こして車で駅まで送ってもらった。

8:09の東海道線で東京へ。9:00発のシャトルバスが5分遅れだったため、乗車できた。

良い天気で、朝作ったコーヒーの入ったポットを座席の前のネットに入れたままうたたねをして、下車時に取り忘れた。１Fの京成バスカウンターへ行くとすぐに電話連絡をしてくれて、約30分後、同じバスが下車した場所へ戻ってきて、ポットを渡してくれた。下車した場所やら、バスの色やら聞かれたが何も覚えていなかった。それでも無事に戻ってきて感謝。

ドタバタしているうち搭乗口へ付いたのは11:30。座席は後部と言ったのに中央部分の通路側。隣には欧米人の若い女性が座ったが、私を見るなりボディ言語で話したので、一切英語を話さなかった。

機内食はアシアナらしいもので、缶ビールのお代わりはすぐに持ってきた。

仁川空港に到着した時間は3時ジャスト。今回はまっすぐに入国審査へ向かったため、一番に通過。その後トイレへ行ったので、預けた荷物のピックアップは簡単に済んだ。

空港鉄道のプラットフォームへ向かう途中、構内にスケートリングがあり、子供たちが滑っているのをみた。これは良いアイデアだ。数年前、ボストンのハーバード大学構内で見かけたリンクを思い出す。

3時半の地下鉄に乗って、ソウル駅には4時半に到着。ロッテリア前に4時40分に着いたが、スンヘが見えず、電話したが、私のケータイの停止解除が遅れて、連絡できない。おまけのバッテリーがなくなった。

次回は日にちの確認と充電を忘れないようにしなければいけない。１１４で事業者(サムソン)と通話できたので助かった。

スンへとソウル駅反対側へ向かい、タクシーで彼女の家へ向かった。家は南山の中腹の解放村で、カトリック教会の聖堂の前の集合住宅の２Fだ。

小学校6年の娘、テヒが待っていたが、今回もスンへのご主人には会えなかった。話題にもならないのはどうしたことか。

古いアルバムを見て懐かしかった。お土産は私の妻が買った箱根細工の小銭入れと、私が雪ノ下カトリック教会で買った東北支援のみやげなど。また、娘には100円ショップで買った首ふりネコなど。

美貞が7時過ぎに車で来た。彼女の母親に買ってもらったという立派な乗用車だった。

夕食は、中華を注文し、4人で分けてたべた。美貞は私に化粧品を、ナウォンと彼女の次男、テゴン(태건兌建)にもプレゼントを用意した。

また、漢領へ連絡して明日朝会うことにした。漢領と会うのは20年ぶりだ。彼は20代の前半で、私は40代だっただろうか。なつかしいことだ。
