140807 Pre-hiking Party at Nonobudo (富士山登山前の自然食パーティ후지산 등산 전의 자연식 파티)

Members: George, Mario & Susan (German), Yuna & Dolkko-nim, and their friends in Tokyo (Koreans)

I had been living in Korea past 11 years. Yet, I climbed Mt. Fuji 8 times for 8 years (2006 – 2014) when I came back to Japan for summer vacation.

Since I returned to Japan last April 1st, I can climb Mt. Fuji more frequently. So, I climbed the mountain 3 times before I welcome my friends for the hike this summer.

This year, two couples applied to the Mt. Fuji hike I planned for AhToSan hikers in Korea. They were Mario and Susan (German couple), Yuna and her husband, Dolko-nim (Korean couple).

Since the Korean couple have good friends in Tokyo (living here for 20 years,) they also joined the party at a Tokyo restaurant.

We got together in front of the restaurant, “Nono Budo” which means “Grape in the field.” Their specialities are organic food and variety of wine.

I brought my pc and showed the pictures of Mt. Fuji making “Slide Show” while having dinner. But we enjoyed conversation more than watching the slide show.

The dinner was “all-you-can-eat buffet” style. Paying 600 yen more, then you can drink any wine out of 16 different wines, as much as you like. 4 men chose this menu, and 3 ladies drank intoxicating beverage.

Yuna and Susan hit it off soon and they enjoyed the conversation very much.

Mario is a cheerful gentleman and at the same time, very generous. He took the bill for all of us. Thank you Mario for your generosity.

It was a nice pre-hiking dinner party and we all had a good time.

昨年までの11年間は韓国に居住していたため、富士登山は、夏の帰国時にしていた。これまで2006年以来、8年間で8回である。

今年は日本に居住しているので、何回も挑戦できる。これまでにすでに3回、登っているが、メインはアトサン山岳会で公募し、それに応じた4人を案内する8/8-8/9の今回の登山である。

この日は、富士登山前日の顔合わせで、東京のレストランでいっしょに食事をした。

レストランは東京駅丸の内南口前のTOKIAの3階の「野の葡萄」で6時半の待ち合わせである。

マリオとスーザンがほぼ定刻に到着。やや遅れてユナさんとソクホさんが、彼らの東京在住20年という友人夫妻を伴ってあらわれた。

野の葡萄のブッフェスタート時刻は6:45。男たちは600円余のプラス料金で16種類のワイン飲み放題コースを選択した。

私は今年の富士山登山のアルバムをスライドショーにして見せた。おしゃべりに忙しくてワインは十分いただいたが、食事は最初のプレートのみである。

スーザンとユナはすぐに意気投合したようだ。年齢も近いのかもしれない。2時間はあっというまに過ぎて8時45分にビュッフェタイムは終了した。

なんとマリオが全体の支払いを持ってくれた。ソクホ氏も自分で支払うつもりだったようだが、結局マリオが支払った。なんと太っ腹なのだろう。

アトサンでは、登山後の打ち上げパーティ「ティップリ」は、毎回のことだが、このような「前夜祭」は珍しい。楽しい仲間とのひと時を感謝である。
