140923 Adatarayama (安達太良山 아다타라야마)

I got up at 3 am and prepared for the hike. I took 5:37 train (the first train leaving Ofuna). I took Tohoku Shinkansen leaving Tokyo at 6:40 am.

I got off at Koriyama station. I found the bus stop on West Side of Koriyama Station indicated by the reservation site of Adatarayama bus service.

I bought a cheap beer at a convenient store near the station, and had a light conversation with Mr. Watanabe, the bus driver.

About 10 passengers joined me at Koriyama bus stop, and the microbus left the bus stop at 9 am sharp.

The micro-bus stopped at Gaku Hot-spring sightseeing center. There we bought a round-ticket to Adatara Kogen Sky Resort, 2000 yen.

The bus arrived at Adatara Kogen Sky Resort at 10:20, thenI took “Express Gondola” which was a rope way, to the Yakushidake Sancho Station. A round ticket costed 1560 yen.

I got off at the end of the rop way, Yakushidake Sancho, then walked to the entrance of the trail. It was well facilitated wooden trail. Then the real trail started.

There was no cloud at the foot of the mountain, but when I got off the rope way, it was completely cloudy, so I was a bit disappointed.

Since it was a national holiday (spring equinox), there were many hikers. I noticed a lot of “rindo” flowers along the trail. I like this purple color flowers.

I recognized several autumnal colors here and there. When I walked about 10 minutes from the end of the wooden trail, then I came up to the open rocky space. Form there, I could see the top of Mt. Adatara very well.

Some hikers taking a rest there, but I was not tired at all, so I kept walking toward the top of the mountain.

If it began to rain, the trail would become a kind of river, so I hurried to the top of the mountain. I walked about 1 hour from the rope way, the I came to the ridge from where I could see the summit of Mt. Adatara clearly.

There I could see autumnal colors such as red and yellow leaves. Also I could see the urban sceneries at the foot of the mountain very well.

I saw many hikers around myself. There were senior hikers like me, yet there were many couples, and even families wih kids as well as groups of young people.

After walking about one and half an hour, I arrived at the top of Mt. Adatara. I asked a stranger to take a picture of me with my camera. Then I climbed the real summit of Mt. Adatara which was higher than the pole of Adatarayama Mark.

The real peak was a block of larva. There was no mark of Mt. Adatara, but only a stone pole on which 4 chinese characters;“Hakko Ichiu八紘一宇” was written.

I ate my lunch at the middle of this real peak. I ate a cup ramen and 500 cc can of cheap beer which I bought at a convenient store this morning.

Then I returned to the same trail to the rope way station. About then, it began clearing the sky and I got sunshine!

On my way to the rope way station, I stopped at the Yakushidake Observatory and I got several pictures of Mt. Adataka with sun shine.

When I got off the rope way, it was 1 pm. So, I took the 2 pm bus to Koriyama Station.

I was very effective hike. I arrived at Koriyama Station at 3:20 pm and I got 3:30 Tohoku Shinkansen from Koriyama Station.

Not many passengers at non-reservation car, so I could enjoy vacant seats and I arrived at Tokyo Station before 5 pm.

午前３時に起床。5:37の東京行乗車。6:40発新幹線で郡山へ向かう。

郡山駅西口―タリー道路側はすぐわかった。フレンドリーな運転手の「渡辺」さんに名前を告げてから、駅前のローソンへ行き発泡酒500cc228円を購入して飲みながら、渡辺さんと雑談。

そのうち、約１０人ほどが乗車。バスはきっちり９時に出発した。

途中、岳温泉の観光協会で停車、往復乗車券を2000円で購入。

あだたら高原スキー場には10時２０分頃到着。

エクスプレスゴンドラに乗って薬師岳山頂に向かった。片道は９５０円で往復は1560円。

ゴンドラ下車からしばらくはりっぱな木道で、木道の尽きた場所から本格的な登山道だ。

麓ではよくはれていたが、ゴンドラ駅に到着した時点では空は一面雲におおおわれ、ちょっとがっかりだった。

休日のためか、登山道はかなりのにぎわいで、登るにつれ濃い紫のりんどうが群生していた。

紅葉はすでに始まっていて、木道がきれた場所から約１０分ほど行くとひらけた岩場に出て、安達太良山の山頂がよく見えた。

ここで休憩するグループがいくつかいたが、それを尻目に先を急いだ。

雨が降れば沢になろうだろう登山道を先にいそぐこと約１時間で、山頂がみえる尾根に出た。

この周囲は赤や黄色の紅葉が始まっていて、また、麓の街々もよくみえる。

私のようなロートルが多いが、カップルや子連れの登山客も多い。若者のグループもいる。

約１．５時間の登山で安達太良山の山頂に到達。１本柱の標識の前で登山客にたのんで認証写真をとってもらい、その後、実際の山頂に向かった。

実際の山頂は岩のかたまりで、特に安達太良山の標識はなく、「八紘一宇」と書かれた石柱があった。

この実際の山頂の中腹で昼食にした。持参したカップラーメンとコンビニで購入した500ccの発泡酒をいただいた。

その後、来た道を下り、ゴンドラ乗り場へ向かった。このころ雲が切れて、日が差しはじめた。

ゴンドラ乗り場へ行く前に、薬師岳展望台に寄った。子連れの登山客が多い中、日が当たっている安達太良山山頂の写真を数枚撮り、ゴンドラに乗った。

ゴンドラを降りて午後１時。バスは２時出発のバスを待って乗車した。

効率の良い日帰り登山で、郡山には午後3時２０分着。新幹線は３時30分発に乗れた。

自由席はがらがらで、３人がけの座席を独り占め。５時前に東京へ着いた。
