A friend of mine living in Chigasaki uploaded the pictures of Mt. Fuji, together with Tanzawa and Ohyama to Facebook. They looked nice, so I decided to climb Mt. Ohyama as my 3rd hike this year.
But it was cloudy unlike the previous day. I took 7:55 Tokaido line train and changed at Fujisawa and Sagami-Ohno. I arrived at Isehara at 8:40.

While waiting for the bus to Ohyama Cablecar Station, a bus bounding for Hinatayakushi came. So, I changed my mind and took the bus to Hinatayakushi.
There were very few passengers to Hinatayakusi. Actually I was the only passenger who got off there.

There was a news article about the refurbrishment of the shrine on the window of the shope. It says it would be the first time after 350 years. So, it must be a historical event.
Anyway, I decided not to visit the shrine, and took a short cut to the mountain. There is a paved road along the small river and there are several temples along the road, such as "Johotsuganji" and "Sekiunji"

After passing the temples, there is a spa house called "Kurhouse (Cure-house) Yamagoya." It is a hot-spring facility and I used this facility with my good friend Mr. Matsumoto about 10 years ago.
Then soon after this hot-spring, there is a well-built two-story concrete building. It is "Hinata Fureai Study Center" run by Isehara City. The entrance of the trail was just under this building.

There was no snow until the wood of Japanese ciders. But from the entrance of the wood, the snowy trail began. As I climbed up to the mountain, the amount of the snow increased.
When I arrived at Miharashi, the depth of snow became about 50 cm. It was almost noon, so I decided to have lunch there.

“Miharashi” means “good look out point” but I could not see the scenery very well. The top of Mt. Ohyama was in the cloud and it was slightly snowing. So, I decided not to climb to the top of the mountain, but to take a relatively easy trail to “Shimosha” shrine of Mt. Ohyama.

Actually, I never took this trail. So, it was my first experience to walk this trail.

I thought it was an easy trail because the altitude of Miharashi and Shimosha was almost the same level, which means the trail did not involve up-and-down. On the contrary to my thought, it was rather hard for me. Partically it because of the snow, but largly because of the landslide which cut the trail here and there.

The trail was on the side of Mt. Ohyama, therefore, the side oposit to the mountain was deep valley. And the landslides blocked my way. I had to climb over the slides and snow piled up on the landslide made the matter worse.

It took me an hour to walk only for 2 km of flat trail. I arrived at the cabe-car station of Shimosha before 2 pm.

I took 2:05 cable-car to the foot of the mountain and took a bus to Isehara station.

Walking time was about 4 hours and I came home at 4 pm.

It was my 3rd hike of this year and last hike in Japan this time.

前日が快晴で、茅ヶ崎に住む友人がアップロードしたフェイスブックの丹沢や大山が良かったので、今年三度目の登山を大山に決めて出発。
朝は空一面の雲で晴れ間は期待できないかとも思ったが、天気予報では午後は晴れるという。だが、晴れ間はわずかだった。
7時55分の東海道下りで藤沢乗り換え。8時3分発の小田急各駅電車で相模大野乗り換え、伊勢原には8時40分に着いた。
大山ケーブル駅行きのバスに並んでいたら日向薬師行きのバスが先に出たのでいつもと逆回りにして日向薬師から登ることにした。

日向薬師の茶屋には350年ぶりの改修という新聞記事のコピーが貼ってあった。バス停近くの白髭神社も改修中だった。
だが、今回は日向薬師には寄らずに直接ハイキングコースを目指すことにした。このコースでは途中、渓流の反対側に浄発願寺という寺があり、動物のための墓地造成などを手掛けているようだ。

浄発願寺を過ぎて10分ほど進むと今度は反対側に石雲寺という寺が見えてくる。この寺の山号は「雨降山(うこうざん)」となっているので、大山の寺ということになる。開創が養老2年(718年)というから、奈良時代初期から続く古刹である。

石雲寺を過ぎてさらに10分ほど緩やかな舗装道路を登ってゆくと、道路の右側に「クアハウス山小屋」という円形の玄関のある施設が見えて来て「日帰り入浴」の旗がたっている。ここは以前友人と山越えして降りてきたときに入浴したことがある。
クアハウスを過ぎるとすぐにコンクリート建てで立派な建物が見えてくるがこれは「伊勢原市日向ふれあい学習センター」という施設だが、この日は休館日となっていた。
このふれあい学習センターの手前が登山口となっていて、渓谷に沿って山に入る。

登山口から杉林までは意外と積雪がなく、簡単だったが、松林を過ぎてヒノキ林になる頃から積雪量が増えた。

見晴らしに着く頃、昼になったが、ここは雪も多く寒かった。見晴らしで昼食は即席ラーメンとそばを食べた。

見晴らしから見上げる大山頂上は雲の中で少し雪も舞っていたので、まだ歩いたことのないブナ林を経由して下社へ向かうコースをとった。

ところがこのコースは半端ではなかった。見晴らしから下社へ向かって歩く左側はかなり深い谷で、右手の山側は数カ所がけ崩れになっている。
崩れた土砂が道を塞ぎ、その上に雪が積もっているため注意深く歩かねばならない。

このコースはブナの林のようで、いつもの登山道の風景とは異なる。また、クマ出没情報も不気味だ。

それにしても勾配はほとんどない水平なトレッキングなので、2キロの山道はほぼ1時間で歩くことができた。

今回はさらに手抜きをして、下社からケーブル駅まで、下りのケーブルカーを利用した。料金は450円だった。大山ケーブルを使ったのは5年ぶりだろうか。

ケーブル駅からバス停までは急ぎ足で下ったので2時5分発のバスに間に合った。
今回のトレッキングは約4時間。帰りの交通も伊勢原から相模大野乗り換え、藤沢から大船と戻って、家には4時ごろ帰った。
