140710 The 2nd Visit on Korea: 1st day “Welcoming Party at Hoegi, Seoul”

[Summary of my 2nd visit on Korea (7/10-16)

7/10 (Thu) Haneda 16:00 – Gimpo (18:30) – Seoul – Subway No. 1 – Hoegi Station

7/11 (Fri) Seoul – Visiting Museum and Seoul Social Economy Center – High Way Bus Center – Daejeon (IDP at Hanpit Apt.)

[From Ofuna to Haneda, theh to Gimpo, to Seoul and to Hoegi]

It was Thursday, the day of DayKEC. I attended this English Study Group until 12:00 noon.

Then took 12:20 bus to Haneda. It takes only one hour, so it was early enough to take a flight at 16:00.

I bought gifts for my friends in Korea at ANA Gift Shop at Haneda. Among them, I bought 6 boxes of “White Lovers”popular Hokkaido cookies.

The flight was smooth and I got a window seat, but because of typhoon influence, it was cloudy underneath, and I could not see Mt. Fuji well. I like the inflight meals provided by ANA. It consists of rice, noodle, a piece of fish meat and potato salad, plus red wine and premium beers.

The plane landed at 6:45 and I could take a 7:00 AREX to Seoul. (I had only carry-in luggage.)

I changed trains at Seoul, but the exit of AREX and entrance of Subway was completely opposite sides, so it took more than 10 minutes.

When I arrived at Hoegi Station, it was almost 20:00. Since longitude of Seoul is West and the latitude higher than Kanto Area in Japan, it was still bright outside.

I could find the coffee shop my Mexican friend, Bernardo was waiting for me. There my old Korean friend, Mr. Hwang was also waiting for me.

So, Bernardo guided me to the hotel: CMS Inn which was only a couple of minite walk from the station.

There was a nice Korean barbecue restaurant between the station and the hotel, so we decided to have a party there.

Bernardo has been my best hiking friend in Korea. We even climbed several Japanese mountains including Mt. Fuji.

Mr. Hwang is one of my longest Korean friends since early 1980s.

When I saw him for the first time, he was newly-married. Now he is a father of two boys: 25 year old and 22 year old.

We enjoyed talking and eating and drinking for about two hours.

Then we separated, saying good-bye and I went to my hotel near Hoegi Station.

「第2回訪韓：初日『ソウルの回期(フェギ)駅付近で焼き肉パーティ』

旅行日程：7/10羽田～金浦～ソウル～回期(フェギ)駅[地下鉄1号線123]

[帰国後2度目の訪韓の概略]

今年4月1日に帰国してから2度目の訪韓である。今回も第2木曜日に訪韓し、木曜日はソウル泊。金・土は大田のハンピアパートの友人宅で泊まり、日・月は大田の東横イン泊で滞韓日程は5泊6日である。

金曜日は大田でIDPに参加し、土曜日はアトサン登山会の定期登山、日曜日は午前中に新城洞の教会の礼拝に参加した後、テジョンハイカーズと登山。

月曜日は屯山洞で映画を見て、夜は屯山日本語スタディグループの勉強会に参加する。そして、火曜日は日本へ帰国する。

さて、訪韓日の木曜日はDay KECの日だ。午後の羽田なので12:00までDay KECに参加し、12:20のリムジンバスで羽田空港へ向かった。

羽田空港のANAのみやげ屋でおおまかに土産を買った。マルタには日本人形。ミジョンにはこけしと小銭入れとしおり、あとはすし職人の人形やこけし、それにしおりも2個余分に買っておいた。

「白い恋人」は24個入りを６箱買った。整理してキャリアにつめるとマルタへの人形だけがどうしても入らない。両手に荷物を持つことになった。

フライトは順調で、窓際の席だったので外が良く見えた。もっとも梅雨前線の白い雲と青い空、それにソウル上空からの林立するマンション群ぐらいしか見えなかった。

ANAの機内食はたいへん良い。ビール2個と赤ワイン1本もらった。通路側は日本語のうまい韓国人ビジネスマンだったようだ。預けた荷物はないため、午後6:45に着陸して7時前に空港鉄道に乗ることができた。

終点のソウル駅で1号線へ乗り換えるのだが、これがまったく駅の正反対なため乗り換えに10分以上かかる。1号線で回基(회기)駅に到着したのは8時近かった。

途中でインセから電話があった。駅前の喫茶店はすぐにわかり、二人とも店内で私を待っていた。

ホテルは駅のすぐそばで新しい建物だった。501号室の鍵をもらって部屋に荷物を置いてすぐにホテルと駅の間にある焼肉屋へ行った。

3人で1時間以上、焼肉は1回お代わりし、ビールは4本ぐらい？焼酎も1本飲んで5万ウォンは安かった。

私がワリカンにしようと提案して二人から1.5万ウォンずつもらうことにした。インセは盆唐(ブンダン)からソウルの北部へ引っ越し、長男は25歳で就職し、次男は22歳で大学在学中だが、軍隊はまだだという。

[投宿] ホテル名はCMS INN で回基(회기)駅すぐ隣である。

楽しく飲んで二人と別れた後、ホテルで教育番組の自然もののTV番組を見た。

ホテルは実にシンプルで日本のビジネスホテルのようなタオル、湯沸かし器、石鹸、着替えなどは一切ない。

そうしてみると日本のビジネスホテルのほうが料金はあまり変わらず、サービスはずっとよいということになる。

ホテルは駅が近いので鉄道の音が聞こえるがさほど気になるほどではない。冷房は最新型らしく音が小さい。
