Destination (mountain): Mt. Odaesan (Noinbong, Sogeumgang Valley
Hiking course: Jin Pass – Noinbong –Sogeumgang Valley – Geumgangsa Temple –Parking Lot.

Ayla came with Nami and Wonjeong of Taejonhikers. The chartered bus was completely full.
Ayela sat with Nami and I sat with Wonjeong.
The destination, Odaesan National Park is in Gangwondo province, so we left Daejeon at 6 am, one hour earlier than usual.
We arrived at Jin Pass at 9:55. The location was already altitude 900 meter, so I felt a bit chilly when I got off the bus. Also, there was fog among mountains.

I asked a member of AhToSan to take a picture with other Taejonhikers at the entrance of the trail.

There was a field with dandelion puff balls. I found a lot of lilies of valley along the trail.

I was charmed with many wild flowers, and took many pictures. Therefore I was left alone behind the most of AhToSan members.

The trail was gentle, not necessarily steep, but I could not keep up with other members’ high speed.
About 1. 5 hours after the start, I saw Chomwa and Towa, waiting for me. They were responsible for the last hiker of the group.

It was close to Noimbong, so we walked together toward the peak of Noimbong. I also found a couple of AhToSan members near the peak.

After taking pictures at the peak, Chomwa talked with other stuff members, and we decided to join them for lunch.
It was 12:06 when we joined the main group of AhToSan at lunch place. We enjoyed our lunch with the main group of the people.

After having lunch, we walked rather steep descending slopes. On the way to the valley, we had “Suzuki Time” and I offered my fruits at last. They also enjoyed the cooled beer I carried with me.

Then we began trekking along the stream in the valley. As it is named “Sogeumgang” or “Small Geumgang” the valley reminded me of “Geumgang Valley” in North Korea. Beautiful streams and strange shaped rocks, yet the color of the stream was darker than the real “Geumgang.”

While walking along the stream in the valley, I talked with other Taejonhikers, esp. Nami, a female researcher of ETRI, and Ayela, a freelancer English speaker.

I could walk with them most of the trail, but I was left alone again when we finished “Sogeumgang” area reached at Geumgang Temple.

While I was walking alone in the trail between shops and restaurant in the temple area, Ayela called me. They were waiting for me as the last hiker.

When I arrived at the bus, they soon left the parking lot and went to another parking lot where we had wrap-up party.

The menu for the party were tofu and kimchi and makgeolli. I enjoyed the food with makgeolli with mostly Taejonhikers.
We finished the party by 5 pm and went back to Daejeon by 8:30 pm.
It was my 28th hike for this year and my 282nd hike of AhToSan regular hike.

登山地：江原道・五台山(오대산)/老人峰(노인봉)小金剛渓谷(소금강계곡)
登山コース：ジン峠サービスエリア(진고개)-老人峯(노인봉)-小金剛渓谷(소금강계곡)[ナギョン滝、九龍滝など] - 金剛寺(금강사)- 駐車場
同行者：テジョンハイカーズ３名を含む44人(満車)
アトサンは完全に満席。アエラがテジョンハイカーズのナミとウォンジョンを連れてきた。
アエラとナミが同席し、私はウォンジョンと同席した。
目的地は江原道・江陵の五台山。南門の出発は6時でタクシーで行った。
目的地が遠いため、途中、2回休憩して出発地点のジン峠には9:55到着。ここはすでに海抜900mほどの高地でバスから降りると肌寒い感じがした。

また、緩やかな山並みには霧がかかっていた。
サービスエリアから登山路に入る入口で、アエラたちと記念撮影をした。
タンポポの綿帽子が一面に広がる原を右手にみて、緩やかな登山路の左側の足元にはスズランの群落が続いていた。

スズランのほかにもさまざまな花が咲いていて写真を撮りながら進むと後からきた山岳会にも追い抜かれ、完全に最後尾を一人旅になってしまった。

老人峰までは緩やかな上りが続き、快適な登山だが、とにかく他のメンバーのスピードについて行けない。
1.5時間ほど進んだ老人峰と小金剛への分岐点にチョムワ・トワ夫婦が私を待っていてくれて、一緒に老人峰に登った。
登山口から老人峰のすぐ下まではずっと林が続いたが、老人峰のまわりだけは岩がむき出しになっていて石標のまわりはハイカーでにぎわっていた。
サンチギらアトサンのメンバーが数人いて、認証写真を撮ったのち、後尾大将のチョムワがウォーキートーキーで先頭グループと連絡をとると、小金剛へ下る道の途中で昼食によい場所をとったと言うので、そこまで下ることにした。

チョムワ・トワ夫婦とアトサンのメイン・グループに合流したのは12:06で、サンチギともう一人はもう少し遅れて合流した。
昼食後の午後の山行はやや急な傾斜を下ったが、その途中でようやくスズキタイムをとることができた。

ブドウは人気が高くすぐ無くなったが、トマトとキュウリはかなり残った。また、持参したサッポロビールも好評ですぐに終わった。
このスズキタイム以降は渓流に沿ってのトレッキングで、「小金剛」という名前の通り、金剛山を思い起こさせるような渓谷と断崖が続いた。
しかし、渓流の水は本物の金剛山の渓流のような美しい色合いはなかった。主にテジョンハイカーズや寒溪嶺、それにサンチギと前後して下った。
特にETRIの寄宿舎に住んでいると言うナミや、アエラと話をしながら下った。

この時期は4月や5月の春の盛りに比べると山でみかける花の種類はやや少なく、また白い花が多い。しかし、その中でひときわ目立つ大輪の白い花がある。学名は幕末に来日したドイツ人医師で博物学者のシーボルトを名がつけられた「オオヤマモクレン」(学名Siebold's Magnolia)である。

また、花ではないが、この地域に独特な「金剛松(クムガンソナム）」という立派な松の木があった。韓国の松ノ木は山の稜線にみごとな姿をみせるが、この松は渓谷にあり、杉のように直線的に空に伸びていた。

さて、「万物相」や「鬼面岩」、それにいくつかの滝でお互いに写真を撮ったが、金剛寺あたりで私がまた遅れてしまった。

最後の土産物屋が並んだ通りを歩いている時にアエラが心配して私に電話をかけてきた。

それはティップリ(打ち上げパーティ)がこの駐車場ではできないのでいったん全員がそろったところで10分ほど下り、適切な場所でティップリをするためだった。
この場所は我々以外にだれもいなかったし、水が使えて便利だった。ティップリのメニューは豆腐とキムチ、飲み物はマッコリだった。マッコリを飲んでいてなぜかむせてしまったが、テジョンハイカーズの面々と飲むことができた。
ティップリは5時までに切り上げ、大田には8時半ごろ到着した。今年28回目のハイキングでアトサンの定期登山は282回目だった。
