The number of participants were less than twenty. So, AhTosan used a micro-bus again.

We left the south gate bus-stop at 7 am and arrived at SangSeonAm Parking Lot at 10:10.

The man who sat next to me was Wonjeong. His nick name is “Midas.” He took this nickname after King Midas who had the ability to turn everything he touched into gold. I wonder he had such a wish for himself.

I found “Tengpi” among fellow 18 partners. She knows many plants names. So I put pictures of the plants which I did not know into my MP3 and I showed these pictures to her and asked their names. She told me all of these names in Korean language. I wish I could guide her to Oze in Japan in the future.

Today’s hiking distance was less than 7 km, so I walked from my studio apartment to the bus-stop at South Gate (about 5 km) while listening to the language programs on EBS before 7 am.

When I walked over Daedeok Bridge, I saw two ducks fighting each other violently. Ducks are known as a lovely couple “Oshidori Couple” in Japanese. But these were two female ducks. So they were “rivals” in a sense. They were fighting really hard, so I was shocked, but at the same time, intriguingly looked their fight.

They held special event at Expo South Gate Square that day. Therefore the parking lot was closed that day. AhToSan members hado to park different places other than the regular place.

Anyway, we arrived at the foot of the mountain at 10:10 am. The president of AhToSan, “Alain Delon” called for “warming up exercise” and we all followed his suggestion.

We took a group picture in front of two trees with white flowers. They are “Chionanthus retusus” and in Korean language, “이팝나무” which means “Rice-leaf Tree” and in Japanese “ヒトツバタゴ” or “Hitotsubatago”.

We began hiking after taking a group picture. We passed a village with a lot of beautiful flowers such as "Bleeding heart", “Aquilegia (Columbine)” or “Spiderworts” etc.

I alos noticed that there were many "five flavor berries" planted in the village. Actually the village is called "five flavor berry village." This plant was known as the traditional Chinese medicines.

I am one of the last hikers soon after we passed the village and went into the mountain.

There were three slow hikers, slower than me, but they gave up the hiking, soon, so I was the last hiker among 15 hikers.

At around 11 am, just before the ridge, the president called for “Suzuki Time” and waited for me.

I offered fruits (blue and red grapes this time) as usual, and J-nim also offered makgeolli, a traditional Korean wine. I sipped a cup of makgeolli and it was cool and good.

There were Polygonatum odoratum (angular Solomon's seal or scented Solomon's seal) along the trail. I like this cute flower. Korean people make “tea” using its roots.

Besides this flower, I saw several "Iris rossii Baker" and most of all, I saw many beautiful “Royal azalea” during this hike.

DoRakSan is a rocky mountain. We had to use our musles quite hard. I really admire these female members’ power to enjoy such a hard hike.

I was the last hiker to join the lunch table. All of us had lunch together. One of the strong hiker, “Eunchongpa” brought a cooking set and gas burner. He cooked “Samgyopsal” or “roast pork belly over a hot grill.”

One of female members, “Grace Lee” sat by me, and she wrapped “Samgyopsal” with vegitable and fed me with these delicious foods.

After having lunch, we resumed our hike and I arrived at the top of DoRakSan at 1:47 pm. I was the last person to join the group picture at the summit.

We went back to the junction of three trails, then we took the other trail to go down. Soon Midas and I came to the rocky ridge. There was a small pond on the rocky ridge.

To my surprise, there were about 20 frogs, each about 5-7 cm length. Wow, it must be a couple of frogs which bred in the pond. The eggs of the frog became tadpoles, then became young frogs, then they became as big as their parents! Very interesting.

Midas and I passed this rocky ridge. Then I felt dull pain in my back. Midas was not a fast hiker, so he and I were the last hikers. But I became slower than he was. The rest of the trail, I walked alone.

When I came down to the villege, I saw a chipmunk running across the street. It was very cute.

The nickname of one of AhToSan members was “Acorn,” He commented on the picture of chipmunk which I uploaded to AhToSan web as “I am lucky that I did not attend this hike. If I joined you, maybe I was eaten by this chipmunk!” A witty joke he wrote on the comment column.

I came back to the parking lot at 4 pm. The most of the members were already having “Wrap-up Party” at the river bank.

I must be worned out by then. When I jumped across the stream, I slipped down on the bank and slightly injured in my arm.

The menu of the party were: pig trotters and cucumbers and green peppers. The drink was makgeolli. I drank makgeolli and slept well on the bus.

We ended the party at 4:45 and came back to the South Gate Parking Lot at 7 pm.

One of AhToSan hikers, “SanSalang” took me to Shinseongdong, where my studio apartment is.

It was my 24th hike for this year, and my 315th regular hike of AhToSan as the total number.

久しぶりに定刻7時の出発。参加人数が20人を割ったため、先週に続いてマイクロバスで出発。登山地は忠北・丹陽の道楽山965m。

私の隣には久しぶりに来たETRIのウォンジョンが座った。彼のニックネームはマイダス(마이더스)だという。韓国語で「マイダス」は日本語では「ミダース」(英語Midas)で、ウィキによると、快楽主義者、そして優れたバラの庭師として知られていたという。

触れるものがすべて金にかわる力を与えられた王として知られているが、ウォンジョンには金願望があるのかな。

今回は、アトサン会員中、最も植物の名前をよく知っているテンピ(땡삐)が参加するので、最近の山行で撮った花の中で名前がわからないものの写真をあらかじめMP3に入れて持参し、彼女に花のは前を聞いた。

期待にたがわず、줄달기, 구슬붕이, 참꽃마리, 괭이눈, 동의나물,쪽동백とみな教えてくれた。彼女はぜひ尾瀬や北アルプスへ連れて行きたいと思った。

今回は原点復帰の7キロにも満たない短いコース、かつ出発が7時だったので、ワンルームを5時45分に出て徒歩で南門へ向かった。

途中、大徳大橋の上から甲川を見ると、ゴイサギやノガモがいるのはいつもの通りだが、ちょうど橋の下で鴨のカップルが激しく争っている。お互いに相手を激しく突っついたり、噛んだり、水の中に沈めたりして尋常ではない争い方だったのでしばらく見学していたら、結局この二羽は分かれて、一羽は甲川へ、もう一羽は炭洞川へと別れて行った。

鴨は仲の良いことで有名だが夫婦げんかもするのかと感心した。だが、よく見るとどちらもメス鴨だから、夫婦ではない。争うのは当然か。

この日、南門駐車場はイベントのため駐車規制され、アトサンの仲間はだいぶ離れた「芸術の殿堂」などの駐車場に駐車したようだ。

アランドロン会長がやや遅れたが7時5分には出発し、途中一回休憩で、現地のサンソン庵駐車場には10時10分ごろ到着した。

今回は久しぶりにストレッチ体操をしてから集合写真を撮って出発した。

集合写真の背景の白い花は産経新聞に連載された辻原登著の「韃靼の馬」に出てくる対馬の花「ヒトツバタゴ」だ。韓国語では花が白米のようにみえるところから「イパプナム(이팝 나무)」という。

さて、今回、通過した村はどの家の庭にもタイツリソウやオダマキ、それにムラサキツユクサが咲いていてとてもきれいだ。

また、一見山芋のようにみえるオミジャの蔓がうっそうと茂っていて、オミジャの里としても有名らしい。

集落を過ぎ、畑を過ぎる頃には定位置のラストグループになったが、今回は私の後ろに初めて参加した若いカップルと、比較的若く見える単独参加の女性がいた。

しかし、この三人は結局途中であきらめ、最後のティップリの時まで会うことはなかった。

歩きはじめて約40分経過した尾根に出る前の11時ごろ、林の中でスズキタイム。今回は青ブドウと赤ブドウの2種類の輸入ブドウでどちらもたいへん甘く、1回で終わった。Jニムのマッコリも1口ごちそうになった。

足元にはアマドコロ(甘野老:韓国語では「トングルレ둥굴레」)が多く見られたが、ほかにはブルーのエヒメアヤメを2回ほど見た。

それよりもや「サンチョルチュク」の中でも特に美しい「ビダンチョルチュク비단철쭉緋緞つつじ」が多数みられた。

来週の雪嶽山では「トルチンダルレ」が見られるだろうと会長は言う。

道楽山はたいへんな岩山で、普段の山歩きで懸垂や腕立て伏せの筋トレが役に立つはずだが、軽々とは行かない。体調にもよるのだろうが、軽々とこなすテンピやグレイスはすごい。

脱落者3人をのぞくフルコース参加者のなかでは私が一番遅れて昼食の仲間に入ったのは12:23だったから出発してから約2時間ほど経っていた。

今回の食事のハイライトは『ウンチョンパ(銀銃波)』が用意した焼肉料理セットとルチが持参した上等の『サムギョクサル(豚の三枚肉)』、それにアランドロン会長が週末農園で栽培したサンチュなどの野菜だ。

私の前に座ったグレイスがてきぱきと焼き上がった三枚肉を野菜でくるんで私にくれる。とてもうまかった。私も冷えたアサヒ缶ビールを提供して荷を軽くした。

30分ほどの昼食休みの後、尾根歩きを続けて、道楽山頂上に着いたのは1時47分。かろうじて頂上の団体認証ショットに間に合った。

三叉路までもどって登ってきた道の反対側の尾根を下った。ところで、まだ頂上に近い時点の岩場の水たまりになんと山ガエルが1ダース以上、およそ20匹ほど棲んでいるのを目撃した。

私が撮った写真にKSが次のようにコメントした。

『山頂の岩の井戸の山のカエルのカップルがオタマジャクシをたくさんも生んだ。自然の生命力すごいです。素敵な写真ありがとうございます。

このようなコメントをもらうと実にうれしい。そういえばミセスKSがわざわざ五味子[ゴミシ、朝鮮語でオミジャ]の漬け物をたっぷりと容器に詰めてわざわざ私に持ってきてくれたのも嬉しい心遣いだ。これは実においしいご飯のおかずである。

ところで、下りの途中から、どうしたことか腰が痛くなり、早く歩くことが困難になった。終始、マイダスとビリ争いをしていたが、途中からは一人旅となった。

上りの時に壁に素敵な絵が描いてある洒落たコーヒーショップに気付いたが、帰りにこのコーヒーショップの前でかわいいリスを見かけた。

尻尾をぴんとたててかわいいしぐさをするところを写真に収めたら「トトリ(ドングリ)」が次のようなコメントを寄せた。

「あ！リスだ！行かなくて正解だったようだ。なぜかって？この私『どんぐり』、リスに一口で食べられてしまったかも知れないからね....（笑）」

駐車場に戻ったのはちょうど4時で、駐車場近くの河原で打ち上げをした。自然の飛び石を利用して水に落ちずに対岸へ渡ったが、気が緩んだのか、対岸の河原で転んで右腕を擦りむいた。足が弱っていたのかもしれないが大事はない。

打ち上げのメニューはトンソクとコッチュとキュウリとマッコリと焼酎。しかしこのトンソクは後ろ足のようで肉が少なく、歯のない私は大の苦手。

コッチュとキュウリではマッコリもすすまないはずだが、けっこう飲んだ。

マイクロバスの運転手は30代に見える若者で、車を対岸側に停めてみんなの便利を図った。駐車した橋のほとりの木が白い花をいっぱいつけていたので、テンピに聞くと쪽동백나무だと教えてくれた。

ネットで調べると日本語ではハクウンボク (Styrax obassia) とはエゴノキ科の植物の一種。別名オオバヂシャ、オオバジシャと言い、日本でもよくありそうだ。東洋の植物だ。

打ち上げは4時45分に終わり、南門には7時過ぎに戻った。帰りはサンサランに新城洞まで乗せてもらった。

今年24回目の登山で、アトサンの定期登山参加回数は315回目だ。
