It was the 3rd day and the last day of sightseeing for my wife and her 8 friends in Japan.
Originally I planned to take my guests to a City Tour #2 Haeundae Course. But considering their energy left for sightseeing, and possible traffic jam, I followed the advice by the guide, Daegil, not to go to the city tour, rather concentrate on one spot; Haeundae Aquarium.
We had breakfast at 7 am. After the breakfast, I went out to check the way to the Haeundae Beach and the Aquarium from the hotel.

It’s only 10 minutes on my foot. And I found out that the aquarium would be open at 10 am, so I told my guests to check-out at 9:30.
We left our luggage at the hotel lobby, and went to the beach. It is a beautiful beach. But most of my guests came from Kamakura, in Japan. Kamakura is also famous for its beautiful beaches.
Anyhow, we took some pictures at the beach and then went to the aquarium.

Daegil gave me a discount coupon, but I forgot to take it from my bag, so I had to fetch it from the hotel lobby.
The fee was 21,000 won for each. Original fee was 27,000 won including 3D movie fee.
We entered into the aquarium at 10 am. But there were many elementary students led by several teachers. My wife did not like the crowd, so she led her friends and went ahead of the crowd.

I was left behind, but caught up with them later. Kikko suggested to go to see the movie first, because it was the last point according to the sightseeing course.

So we went to the 3D movie theater, first. It’s only about 10 minute movie, a part of “Ice Age” but the seat moved while watching the 3D movie, which gave the audience a kind of real feeling and shock.

Two of her friends took precaution and did not enter the theater, rather waiting for others to come out after the show.
Since I experienced this kind of show before, so nothing shocking to me. But obviously some of my guests experienced for the first time. Therefore, they told their friends “it was good for you not to see the movie, cause it was too violent.”
We went back to the entrance of the aquarium, and had the sightseeing from the beginning. Probably my wife was right. There were less crowd then before.
“Feeding” was a popular attraction especially for kids. I enjoyed seeing such attractions. During our visit, they did “feeding” to penguins and otters.

Otters are called “Kawauso(川獺)” in Japan. There used to be “Japanese river otters” in Japan, but it was designated as “Extinction species” in 2012.

Anyway, they looked cute when a man feeding them.
After having the 2nd tour of the aquarium, we all went through a big tunnel under the big “head tank,” We went under the tunnel, while watching many fish swimming above our heads, including “sharks.”

We came out of the aquarium around noon, picking up our luggage, then took an airport limousine to Kimhae Airport.

We arrived at the airport at 13:10. Their flight was 16:20. I said goodbye to my guests there, and return to Busan, then to Daejeon by KTX.
I arrived at my studio apartment at around 17:00. I returned to my regular life in Korea.

大吉ガイドの助言に従い、シティツアーは止めて観光は水族館のみにした。
朝食は7時からで予定していた9時のチェックアウトまで時間があるので、事前にリムジンバスの乗り場と水族館までの道を歩いて確認した。
リムジンバスの乗り場はバラダイスホテルの横の新世界免税店の前、水族館は開館が10時だったのでチェックアウトを9:30に変更した。 荷物はホテルノロビーに1カ所にまとめ網をかけた。私のリュックもそこに入れたが、鍵が掛からないのでやや不安だった。
そんな気持ちのまま海岸で写真を撮ったが開館15分前に、バカなことに大吉ガイドからもらったアクアリアムの割引券をカバンの中に入れたままにして来たことに気付いて取りに戻った。

3D映画料金を含め2万7000ウォンが2万1000ウォンになったので割引率は大きいようだ。
水族館は小学生の団体が同時に入り、そうぞうしい。そのためか喜久子に率いられた一行は途中を飛ばしてどんどん先に行き、私は後に取り残された。

B1～2の途中で合流したが、喜久子が3D映画を先に観ようと提案し、コースの最後の地点へ行こうとして一悶着した。

喜久子は自分を含め足が悪いのでエレベーターを使おうと言うわけだ。水族館の職員はみな若く、英語対応ができる者が多く、彼女が英語で強く求め、非常口のドアから障害者用エレベーターを利用してギフトショップ店の横にある劇場にたどりついた。

３D映画はアイスエイジの1部のようで、座席がガタガタと動く仕掛け。古田さんがトイレからなかなかもどらず、結局入らないことにして、羽金さんがつきあって、外で終わるのを待っていた。
この手の３Dは何度も体験しているのでどうということはないが、初めての人もいたようで、栗原さんはお二人に入らなくて正解だったと報告した。
この後、入り口に戻るのにまた一悶着があり、係員の若者が業を煮やして、我々に同行していったん建物の外へ出てから隣の建物に位置する入口へ案内してくれた。
確かに再び入ると小学生の団体はいなかったが、一般の客が多く、ペンギンのえさやりなどは後ろからはほとんど見えなかった。
餌やりは人気のパフォーマンスで、ペンギンの他にもダイバーが水槽に入って直接大型の魚にエサを与えるものがあったが、私が気に入ったのは日本では絶滅した「カワウソ」に与えるものだ。
「カワウソ」は日本の伝統的な空想動物である「河童」のモデルになったという説もある愛嬌のある小動物であるが、餌をねだって両前足で男性職員の片足にすがりつく姿がかわいかった。

私のゲストのなかでは太宗台でも元気だった牛島さんがここでも一番元気で、海水の中にいるサメの子やホヤを手を入れて触ったり、ペンギンの餌やりでは一番前に陣取って見ていた。彼女は子供のようなむじゃきさと好奇心があるようだ。

最後は大きなサメが頭上を泳ぐ海底トンネルを通ってふたたびエスカレーターで外へ出た。
当初、大吉ガイドが勧めた12:30のリムジンに乗るつもりが１０分早い12:20に間に合った。しかしパラダイスホテルのホテルボーイがリムジンバス停へ案内してくれたのはいいが、しきりに割高のタクシーを勧める。どうやらタクシーからキックバックを期待してのようだ。
空港まで2時間かかるなどと馬鹿なウソを言う。実際は1時間もかからず、空港には1時10分に着いた。
4時20分の飛行機だから3時間余りも前に着いたことになる。私はとんぼ返りでリムジンバスに乗り、2時に釜山駅に到着。3時のKTXを早めて2:10のKTXで大田には15:48に着いた。
16:15頃の606番バスで約45分かかって新城洞へ着く頃、喜久子からもらった保冷バック内の納豆がそろそろ匂い出した。新城洞のワンルームに5時過ぎに到着。
嵐のような3日間だった。
