Course: Surak Valley Parking Lot – Victory Tower – Seonyo Waterfall – Surak Waterfall – Could Bridge – Macheondae (the summit, 879m) – Nakjodae [JeongSanJe Cemermony] – 809 Summit – Seokcheonam Temple – Seonyo Waterfall – Parking Lot [About 9 km, 6 hours including the ceremony time and lunch for 90 minutes]
Participants: 45 AhToSan members including 5 foreingers such as Bernardo (Mexcico), Elena (Rusia), Connie (Germany), Eric (China) and George (Japan)
We had another fine day for the hike. Daedunsan is close to Daejeon, only 90 minute bus-ride. So we left the South Gate Bus Stop at 8 am.

All foreigners came in time. All seats were occupied, and Eric sat by me.
We stopped at Deokyusan Service Area. I helped Connie buy crampons. It cost 45,000 won, 10,000 cheaper than mine. (I bought at Home Plus.)

In front of us, two male hikers whom also walkd as the last hikers on the previous hike to Hambaeksan hike.

Last time with Alan and JongMoo, we climbed to the top of the stairs. But this time we descended a little before the top toward the bridge called “Cloud Bridge.”
It’s a big suspention bridge across the valley, and we had nice view from the bridge.
Then walked a bit steep trails to the ridge, and I saw a group of AhToSan people including Jeongjeong, the strong female leader.

One was EJ, and I climbed Naejangsan with her, using a rope-way.
The others were Kyumyong and Gijyang, who were the students of ChungNam University. They took me to Daedunsan, using a rope-way, too.
As for the latter case, we walked after getting off the rope-way, to Macheondae. It was a little dangerous adventure, since we did not have crampons, although it was winter.

Then we walked toward Nakjodae. I had to use a toilet at the lodge near Nakjodae. So, I was the last hiker to arrive at the ritual site on Nakjodae.

It was my 62nd hiking in 2013, and 337th AhtoSan regular hike as the total.

今週初めての快晴に恵まれた。登山地は忠南の論山の大屯山878m)だ。大田からは1時間半もかからない距離なので、南門の出発は8時。

ベルナルドとコニーとエレナはすでに来ていて、エリックもすぐに来た。
バスは完全に満席で、水車のあるビョルゴクSAで10分休憩。コニーがアイゼンを買うのに立ち会った。彼女は4万5000ウォンのチェーンジェンを購入した。
バスは水落渓谷の駐車場に9時48分に到着、集合写真を撮ってから出発した。

エリックと私は咸白山でもラストを同行した男性ハイカーの二人組と共にグループの最後を歩いた。
登山路に入ってすぐ仙女滝を過ぎ、水落滝から急こう配の木の階段を上り、この階段の頂上の手前からクルムタリ(雲の橋)へ下った。

展望の良い尾根へ出る手前でチョンジョンがマルグンミソらといっしょにいるのに追いついた。するとそばにベルナルドも熱心に写真を撮っていて、彼も含め10人ほどを対象にスズキタイムにした。

するとすでに摩天台を見学した先頭グループに会った。ヘレナとコニーもいたし、ベルナルドとエリックもいたので外国人5人組の写真を撮ってもらった。

あれからもう16年も経つのだと思うと感慨深い。

落照台の手前には山荘があり、トイレもある。エリックとベルナルドには先にいってもらい、私はトイレを使った。
アトサンは落照台で終山祭を執り行っており、私が到着した時はちょうど最後にアランドロン会長が祈祷文に火をつけて燃やす場面だった。

われわれ外国人はいち早く下山を開始したが、モグァとソルヒャンギは雪合戦を始めたらしく、その一部始終を数人が撮影してアップロードした。

昼食後はひたすら下山だが、途中で分岐点に出た。この日の山行大将であるピアノマンの意見に従って、やや長いが景観がよい、稜線伝いの下山路を取った。

戦勝橋を過ぎて駐車場に着いたのは3時半だったので、予定より30分早かった。
最後のハイカーがバスに着いたのは予定通り4時でバスは4時きっかりに帰路に着いた。
帰りはずいぶん早く、南門には5時5分に到着し、半分以上はここで下車した。
エリックも夕方は他の約束があると言うことで、南門で降りたがたの3人は私と共に忘年会会場のシャンゼリゼウェディングホールへ向かった。
今回は今年62回目、アトサンのトータルでは337回目の定期山行参加である。
