Sightseeing Attractions: Ishigakiyama Ichiyajo(石垣山一夜城) in Odawara (小田原) & Kiunkaku (起雲閣) in Atami (熱海)
My wife suggested to visit Lavista Izuyama again and spend a night with hot spring and delicious dinner.
This was the 3rd visit in a raw, but everytime , we had different partners.
This time, we had 3 senior ladies, Ms. M born in 1941, and Ms. U and K, both, were born in 1933.
They are all my wife’s students for an English Conversation Class, and Bowlroom Dance Class.
We left our home in Kamakura at 10 am, headed for Izu peninsula using Seisho Bypass.

We had a short stop at Seisho SA. I saw cameria flowers and narcissus flowers there.

My wife suggested to have lunch at a restaurant called “Ichiyajo Yoroizuka Farm” which located very close to the castle called “Ishigakiyama Ichiyajo (石垣山一夜城).”

So, Hideyoshi ordered to build a new castle on the top of the hill 3 km west from Odawara Castle.

There is a restaurant called “Ichiyajo Yokozuka Farm”at the foot of Ishigakiyama Ichiyajo. Its lunch course seems to be famous for the delicacy.

The trails for the castle-remains were not steep but comfortable. We had nice views of Odawara city and Mount Tanzawa from the observation place.
After having a brief sightseeing, we came back to the parking lot.
We went to another restaurant called “Soba –Mikura”which seems a part of Suzuhiro business.

The restaurant looked like a toraditional Japanese “Kura” or storehouse of Edo period (1600 – 1868 AD).
“Mikura美蔵” literally means “Beautiful Storehouse.”
We had “tempura soba” set for our lunch. They tasted good.

This time we visited “Kiunkaku”once it was a prestigious “Ryokan”which famous writes often visited, some for writing novels.

Actually it is quite a big building and we followed sightseeing procedure. It took nearly one hour to see them all.

There was a beautiful Japanese garden, and red “ume” blossoms were already blooming in the garden.

I saw several “orizuru (折鶴)” usually made by paper.

But the orizuru I saw were made of white and red cloths. They were very beautiful.
I aslo saw a cherry tree with cherry blossoms were already blooming next to the parking lot.

After having an hour sightseeing at “Kiunkaku” we headed for Lavista Izuyama in Ito city.
Soon arriving at our room, we began party with "Hakone Beer" and some wine we brought.

鎌倉の自宅を出たのは10時で、途中西湘SAでトイレ休憩し、小田原の石垣山一夜城へ向かった。
