George in Korea

I like hiking very much. I used to go hiking with a Korean hiking club named “AhToSan.” This blog introduces mostly my hiking activities in Korea and Japan, and Sydney in Australia. As of January 2020, I live in Sydney suburb. I go Blue Mountains and bush walk in Sydney area. 私は2003年から2014年まで韓国の大田(テジョン)に住んだ日本人である。１１年間、週末は主に「アトサン山岳会」に参加した。14年4月に帰国したが、2020年以降はおもにシドニーで暮らし、時折、日本へ帰国する程度である。したがって最近の記事はSR(Sydney Report)としてブルーマウンテンのトレッキングを中心に書いている。

110110 Sightseeing Guide in Yokohama (横浜観光案内)

Date: Jan. 10 (Mon) Afternoon,　Clear and sunny

Guiding Place: Yokohama

Course: JR Yokohama Station - Bay Quoter – (Seabass) – Yamashita Pier – France Park – Bay View Park – China Town – Yoronotaki Restaurant – Jr Ishikawa Station

Guests: 2 of my Daedeok College students

After sightseeing in Hakone, we had lunch at Sukiya in Mishima, and we headed for Yokohama by JR Tokaido Line.

We arrived at Yokohama by 3 p.m. Then we hurried to Bay Quoter where we took “Seabass” boat to Yamashita Pier.

We landed at Yamashita Pier and walked to Bay View Park (Minatoga mieru oka Park) via France Park.

We had good view from Bay View Park, such as Bay Bridge, Marine Tower, or Landmark Tower.

Then we walked through China Town. We paid a visit to Kanwu Shrine. This shrine looks quite different from Japanese shrines. There were several colorful Chinese dolls at the shrine.

I took my students to Yoronotaki restaurant near Ishikawacho station. We had a brief farewell party, having yakitori,. Sashimi, beer, and Japanese sake. I hope they enjoyed this sightseeing tour and my treat.

コース：JR横浜駅～ベイクォーター⇒シーバス⇒山下埠頭～フランス公園～港が見える公園～中華街～養老乃瀧～JR

箱根の観光を午前中に済ませ、三島で昼食後、JRで横浜へ向かった。

横浜駅には午後3時に到着。クォーターベイからシーバスに乗船して山下埠頭へ向かった。桟橋には大きなクルーザーが停泊していた。

山下埠頭で下船後、左手の丘を登って人形博物館前を通ってフランス公園へ向かった。

フランス公園から木の階段を上って港の見える丘公園へ向かった。公園からはベイブリッジ、マリンタワー、ランドマークタワーなどが良く見えた。
