A daughter of my AhToSan friends, Rooda who homestayed for a month at my home in Japan, visitied Stammtisch on the first Wednesday of June.

After staying in USA for a year as a baby-sitter, she graduated from Chunnam University and got a job in Daejeon. Now she works as a member of public relations department of “Daejeon Citizens,” a professional soccer team in Daejeon.

She came to Stammtsich with free-tickets for an international soccer game between Daejeon Citizens and Consadole Sapporo. I got 2 tickets so I gave them to my best friend, Bernardo. (All Japanese could see the game without buying tickets that day.)

Bernardo came with Liz from Carfornia. Liz is a beautiful lady who joined AhToSan several times.

Tobie and his friend bought tickets and joined us.

We sat close to Japanese supporters seats. These supporters flew to Korea from Sapporo. They told me that they would fly back to Sapporo next day. They were really enthusiastic supporters of Consadole.

I guess 99% of spectators were Koreans, yet the Japanese supporters chants were loud and dynamic. I did not know that Japanese could be so bold in a foreign country.

The result of the game was 2:1, Consadole beat Citizens.

Since it was an international friendly match, the atmosphere was very good. There were lots of exhibition performances such as traditional Korean dance show, hanglider show, fireworks, etc.

I joined the Japanese supporters to support Concerdole from time to time.

I realized that It was a big fun to see a soccer game. The game was over at 9 p.m. This was my first experience to see a soccer game in a stadium.

2007年１月に、鎌倉の我が家へ１ヶ月ホームステイしたルダが、昨年１年間、米国でベビーシッターをしながらホームステイするプログラムを終了。今年、地元大田で就職した。

就職先はなんと地元大田のプロサッカーチーム「大田シチズンズ」の広報担当だ。

彼女が先週、スタムティッシュを訪れ、日韓親善サッカーゲームのティケットをくれた。私も２枚もらって、ベルナルドとリズにあげた。(日本人はティケット不要)

それで６月5日の夕方、ワールドカップ競技場へ日韓親善サッカーの試合を見に行った。タクシーで6:15までに到着したが、ベルナルドとリズが遅れた。

自分でティケットを購入してきたトビーとセバスチェンが6:30に来た。彼らに北口のサッポロ・コンサドーレのゴール裏の席を確保してもらいながらベルナルドとリズを待った。



彼らは15分遅れで到着。試合は7時から。ベルナルドたち外国人4人は前から５～６列目、私は応援団のすぐ後ろに行ったが、応援団たちは1度も座ることがないため、私が座って観戦するにはよくないことがすぐにわかった。

したがって応援団の２～３列後ろに座席を確保した。試合の結果は前半２：１、後半は０：０で結局コンサドーレの勝ちだった。

親善試合らしく試合の前にはバトンボーイのバトンさばきを見せたり、空からエンジン付きのパラシュートが下りてきたりで華やかだった。

また、試合直前には選手たちがサッカーボールをスタジアムの観客席にけり込み、私のそばでも親子連れが1個ゲットしてうれしそうだった。

中間の休憩時間には華やかな踊り子たちのダンスもあった。ゲームは9時に終わり、私は忠大後門まで徒歩で歩き、バスに乗った。

スタジアムでのサッカーの観戦は生まれて初めての経験だった。
