111202 Dinner Party with Daedeok Freshmen (ハイキングを共にした1年生との会食)

Date: December 2, 2011 (Friday)

Place: “Buldonsaengdon”, Sinseongdong, Yuson-gu, Daejeon

Menu: Samgyoksal (Roast pork, a lot of vegitable) Beer and Bamboo sake,

Partner: 5 freshmen of Daedeok University

During this cememster, 5 freshmen joined me for AhToSan hikes. As long as I remember, the last hike when my students joined was about 4 years ago. So I am very happy.

At first, 3 freshmen who live in the same room at the dormitory came to AhToSan on Oct. 8. We went to Mindeunsan that day. The hike was an easy one without any steep climning up and down.

Then KJ, the most serious student, joined me to the hike at Bukkansan in Seoul. It was really a hard hike with very steep up and down. My condition was very good that day and I completed the full course as a member of the top group. But I overpassed KJ on the way, and he was really scared of the steep rocks. I still feel sorry for him that I could not help him that day.

The last student joined me twice. We really enjoyed these hikes; Mt. Jiri/ Piagol valley and Mt. Chongwansan. Especially the latter hike, Tobisas, a German astronomer also joined me.

As for the token of my appreciation, I bought dinner for them. We met at Sinseongdong and went to a pork barbecue restaurant named “Buldonsaengdon.”

They enjoyed several kinds of pork barbecues with beer and Bamboo sake. Since the had good appitite, they ate a lot, and we drank a lot, too.

At the end of the party, I paid 120,000 won which was about 9000 yen (about 116 dollars)

I think it was a reasonable pice to have dinner that much.

同行者：大徳大学1年生五人

この2学期の間に私といっしょにアトサン山行に参加した1年生5人を招待して、新城洞の焼肉屋で焼肉をたっぷり食べた。

学生がアトサンに参加するのは2007年生以来のことで、私としては大いに嬉しかった。

まず最初は10月8日のミンドゥン山でH、Y、JDの三人が参加した。この山は全体として平坦な山でススキの原に秋を感じた。

次は10月22日の北漢山に、最もまじめなKJが参加した。この日、私は絶好直で先頭グループについて白雲台から義湘峰までの縦走をこなしたが、途中でKJを追い抜いてしまい、面倒を見ることができなかった。このコースはベテランでもかなり困難な岩登りがあり、KJをすっかり登山恐怖症にしてしまったのが心残りだ。

三番目は日本語はもう通訳さえできそうなJGだが、彼は10/29の智異山ピアコルおよび11/26の天冠山の2回参加した。

焼肉屋は以前、静岡のK教授が訪韓した時に利用した店で炭火を使う「プルトン・セントン」という店だ。

[KJ did not drink much, but had a good appetite, KJはあまり飲まないが、食欲は旺盛、KJ는 그다지 마시지 않지만, 식욕은 왕성]

超まじめなKJはあまり飲まなかったが、後はみないける口で、竹酒とビールをけっこうお代わりし、肉は次々と追加注文し、ご飯もお代わりまでしたが、代金は12万ウォンだったから、日本円で1万円弱である。

ささやかなぜいたくをさせてもらった。
