Hiking Date: Sep. 24 (Sat) fine
Destination (mountain): DoBongSan (740m) & SaPaeSan (552m) in Seoul
Hiking course: SaPaeSan Ticket Gate – SaPaeSan – SaPae, PoDae Ridge – DoBongSan – ObongSan – Obong Ticket Gate
Partner: 39 AhToSan members
Since it was a hike in Seoul, Chris expressed his attendance, but he got an ergent business and canceled, what a shame! Other two Sould mebers, Chinhan-saram and Prim joined us in Seoul.
This was my 252nd AhToSan hike, but they celebrated my 250th hike on the bus with a big cake with the letters of “250.”
[They celebrated my 250th hike with AhToSan,
We arrived at the parking lot at 9:40 a.m. Prim and Chinhan-saram were waiting for us at the entrance of the trail. We took a group picture there before the hike.

Upward hill is always difficult for me. I was almost the last hiker to follow the group. But they were kindly waiting for me at 30 minute-walk place. We had Suzuki Time there.
[Had the first short break with fruits,
I presented the fruits (grape and mini-tomatoes) and we ate them up there.
After having “Suzuki Time” we climbed uphill for 30 minutes, then we came to the ridge. It was a point to go to the top of SaPaeSan. It was just a go up and come down to the peak. The main group took a rest while a goup of“speed-hikers”made a round trip to the peak.
Then we went to the most difficult part of rocky cliff. It was a bit dangerous, but fun to climb up and down using ropes and hand-rails.
[The explanation of DoBongSan,道峰山、도봉산의 설명][Climbing up and down in the cliff, 急な崖路を登ったり下ったりした。
We had lunch at this rocky place. Since it was narrow space, less than 10 people got together and had lunch here and there.
After the lunch, the trail became more thrilling, steep and rocky. Thanks to everyday mustle training, I could enjoy this thrill, and could go on without big trouble.
Then we came to the last slope to the top of DoBongSan. There were many hikers making line to reach the top.
After the peak, we still had to walk along the ridge. It was a comfortable trail and we passed “Obong” and finally “Yoinbong” and came down to the ticket gate and the parking lot.

We had “wrap-up” party at the parking lot under the highway bridge. The menu was “Suyuk” and “Dodok makgeolli.”Yoregi-nim brought homemade wine and it also tasted good.

We left the place at 5 p.m. and came back to Expo South Gate at 8 p.m.
It was my 52nd hike for this year and my 252nd hike for AhToSan regular hike.

[They celebrated my 250th hike with AhToSan,

[Had the first short break with fruits,
[It was a rocky mountain,
[Steep & rocky place,
[It was a rocky mountain,

I like hiking very much. I used to go hiking with a Korean hiking club named “AhToSan.” This blog introduces mostly my hiking activities in Korea and Japan, and Sydney in Australia. As of January 2020, I live in Sydney suburb. I go Blue Mountains and bush walk in Sydney area.
